Social Action Community Healthy System (SACHS) is a company whose sole purpose is to provide accessible, high quality, whole-person healthcare to the community. My objective was to bridge the gap between SACHS and the members of the community.
SACHS's goal is to be the hub for medical services and information within the community.
The site needed to inform the community, a place where patients can make appointments and understand all the programs SACHS has to offer, a non-profit organization where potential donors can find out about SACHS, and be used as a portal for employees to find all of their necessary information accessed on a separate login page.
I really like wireframing. When I teach the students this process, I always tell them how important it is. It's not just about drawing boxes and placing content, but it's the framework for the functionality for the page.
The wireframes for SACHS needed a clear purpose and the pages intentions.
The marketing materials provided by SACHS utilized a design pattern with these small colorful squares in a grid pattern. It was from those colorful squares which formed the base of their design.
Using some of the colors from the squares, I applied them to either the headers, links, hovers, structural elements, etc. The grid served as the subtle background pattern for the content to lay on. The client liked the way I tied in the old marketing materials to the new website.
